Thought about using a biometric face scanner?

It used to be science fiction but now it is science fact.  There are biometric scanner security devices available that actually scan your face to recognize you.  This is a fast-growing area of security technology that is used by law enforcement to identify individuals in security camera footage.  It is even available now in consumer digital photo software like Google’s Picasa - it can identify which photos on your computer have faces in them - useful for separating portraits from architectural or nature photography, for example.  However, high-end commercially available biometric face scanner is at a much higher level than that - you can use this technology to identify individuals at a distance using a camera, or perhaps at close range to provide access to a building.  While this technology is far from perfect, one can see how far we have come in biometric scanning in a relatively short time.
