The Internet is now the reason that most people own a computer and with a whole world of information, services, and products to see, conecting at dial-up speed is no longer an option. Websites are more demanding on and powerful meaning they take longer to load. But DSL has proved a problem in itself simply because of the poor service of DSL service providers offering it. Pipex actually came out very well in the last survey but many companies proved not only unreliable but their back up service was frankly awful. Having to wait in a telephone queue simply to speak to an operator who couldn't understand what you were saying and simply read from a script. With technical issues came the worst problems. It can often take weeks or longer to get problems like this sorted out.
