New technology in dsl modem routers

July 2nd, 2008 | by admin |

There are a growing number of hybrid modem/routers on the market these days. This is due to the increase in demand for personal computer networks. Even 10 years ago it was very rare to have any more than one home computer, but today with the reduced cost of home PCs and the increased use of laptops many homes have 2, 3 or even more personal computers. Now to help share the broadband connection these homes are buying special hardware called a dsl modem router. These connection you homes computers into a network but also allow a shared connection to the Internet, letting all the family access the Internet form their own PC. A great idea if you ask me.
