Life Span Of Security Cameras - Too Short

August 4th, 2008 | by admin |

I am doing a little research on a new video surveillance security system for our business and what I am finding out is a little disappointing. One of the reviews said the equipment is only expected to last about 5 years. That seems crazy to me that if I plan on shelling out all this money for a system that I will have to do it again in 5 years. Is it because the technology is actually changing that much and they recommend a new system? Or does the useful life of the equipment only last for a total of 5 years?
