Free Aerial Maps Sites
August 29th, 2008 | by admin |I have been doing my own searching for sites that offer free aerial maps. Some of you may already be well aware of these sites and services, but a couple was new to me. The obvious is Google, which has aerial photos in both Google Earth and Google Maps. Then you have Microsoft’s TerraServer and Live Search, which both offer the feature. If do not mind downloading a program, NASA has WorldWind, but it is not really a mapping program like the Google and Microsoft products are. It is however, open source, and offers some neat science information and a Google Earth-like interface.
