E-LORAN: A Build Up To The GPS Loran

With a much better receiver design and transmission characteristics, the E Loran is the perfect build up to the GPS Loran. An enhancement in the design results in an enhancement in the accuracy levels of the system. With an accuracy of 8 meters, the system can give competition to unenhanced form of GPS. The system also features additional pulses that help transmit auxiliary data such as DGPS corrections. In situations where the GPS is not available or is degrade, the E Loran makes for a nice substitute.
