Want fast? Use Broadband DSL
January 4th, 2008 | by admin |DSL broadband is a high-speed Internet connection that’s always on, and much faster than a dial-up connection. If you’re sitting at your computer right now, cussing over the amount of time it takes web pages to load, maybe you should look into a broadband dsl connection.
The term "broadband" actually refers to any communication method that can carry more than one channel of data at the same time. DSL, or Digital Subscriber Line, is a digital data connection that uses the same phone lines you probably already have in your home or business.
Standard phone lines carry analog voice signals; DSL data, as the name implies, is digital. Both can share the same wire because they’re different types of signals. This also means that you can talk on the phone while still using your fast Internet connection. On some lines you may need a filter so that noise from the analog side doesn’t interfere with your Internet connection.
