Online Classroom Network
April 18th, 2008 | by admin |Few online classrooms find heavy use to be a problem, however. "Very often, a college or university purchases all this hardware, builds a network and buys software to run the system, but finds that few faculty members use it," says Diana Zilberman, director of distance learning at the Baltimore City Community College.Pam Quinn, president of the LeCroy Center for Educational Telecommunications at DCCCD, agrees. "Without a good support, these systems won't be used," she says. "Developing an online course requires a tremendous amount of work as well. You cannot simply take a set of notes and put them on the Internet and expect that to form a course."
