If you have ever voted in the United States or ever held a job where body statistics were taken, your biometric is now being housed in a database somewhere. Biometrics is now everywhere where people need to be identified as being who they claim to be with 100% certainty and wherever something needs to be kept away from other people. Combination locks and keys still have their uses, but no doubt many of these will get replaced by biometric security measures as the technology becomes cheaper and more accessible to even private individuals. In fact, some automobiles are now equipped with biometric locks to ensure that only the owner can access the vehicle.
