A Closer Look at Peoplesoft ERP Business Solutions
The company broke ground in the year 1999, when it decided to focus all its efforts on the Internet. They saw the potential for success in this area, and in the year 2000 their company launched a new product called Peoplesoft8 - which, at that time, was the only pure Internet software. They also furthered their advancement with the introduction of Peoplesoft e-center which was their in-house ASP (or application service provider). It had web-based applications that were intended to unify systems easily so companies can have an easier time connecting to their customers, suppliers and employees in a more cost-effective manner. Now, any organization can easily streamline their operations and erp training because thanks to Peoplesoft, information is now readily available and accessible by all people connected to a business whenever they want and wherever they are. Further innovations include mobile access through personal digital assistants (or PDAs or palm pilots, if you will) and of course, mobile phones.
Right now, Peoplesoft is enjoying the fruits of their labor and foresight. The company is currently bases in Pleasanton, California, and employs more than seven thousand employees worldwide. They also cater to over four thousand customers and is publicly traded on NASDAQ.
